2007 Harmony Chardonnay

Harmony comes from Block 5, where the Chardonnay is the most complex in flavor and aroma. Only the finest lots are chosen for this special wine and it is produced only in exceptional years. The complexity is enhanced by a little more oak aging and malolactic fermentation. The outcome is heightened by the effect of one upon the other….in Harmony.

The Vintage
Budbreak and bloom arrived earlier than usual after a relatively dry winter. Less soil moisture controlled foliage growth and the grapes thrived in ample sunshine during a beautiful summer with ideal growing conditions.

The Wine
Inviting aromas of lemon crème pie, butterscotch, hazelnut and sandalwood lead into a velvety, rich palate. Baked pear, caramel and Fuji apple are framed by harmonious acidity. The finish is long and clean with an opulent mouthfeel.

Pair this wine with scallops, lobster, chicken or pasta with a Meyer lemon crème sauce.
